• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I see that the Ada and Tishomingo sites are now active. Does anyone know when the Davis and Marietta sites are scheduled to become active. I figure that when these two go active, Troop F OHP will make the switch from low band to the 800mhz.

I returned to Midwest City from Dallas today and there was no activity on Davis or Marietta. If Pontotoc County units are affiliating with the Norman site, It's possible that Troop F units will as well when they go active.

On another note. On my way to Dallas last Monday, I am sure that I heard TRBO on 153.935, the Stratford PD/FD frequency. :(

I was in Dallas this last weekend and on the way home I slipped by Troop F HQ in Ardmore to check for any signs of 800 Mhz antennas. I didn't see any thing on the tower or building that looked 800 yet.

When drilling and fighting get them down,
They know their morale can't droop,
As long as they all relax in town
Before they resume, with a bang and a boom ... F-Troop!
