Not picking them up on Rensselaer County system for some time now.

they went encrypted on their digital system channel and then the county lost a link and patch to the tg on the county system however they are on the edacs system still

So today I was listening to Troy police dispatch on my Whistler tx-1 scanner and on there dispatch channel all I get is some talk and static like on the transmission

Is this because they are switching over to the P25 system

i doubt that i would suspect i could be your location in regards to what you described. im monitoring the system and i dont hear any static on my end.

i still receive Troy police on the EDACS System, SRLFD-613 Do you know if the Rensselaer p25 system will ever start broadcasting the Troy PD. talk group again from what you have heard? hopefully they can retrieve the patch and link again.

I havent Heard anything to much but once in awhile it becomes active but not sure if theyre operating on another system which they do have theyre own p25 system and its encrypted....

I enjoyed listening to them on the Rensselaer P25 system, it was convenient. right now, I have the EDACS system on my BCD325P2 as well as the Rensselaer p25 system monitoring them both. Thanks for the info!, let us know if you hear anything else.

I wonder what/who that is on Troy PD’s old TG (01-022) on the Edacs System? I mean it sounds like Troy but perhaps not their “main” Dispatch channel?
