I have found a system on the FCC license search for an 800 mhz trunking system, how do you know or figure out what type of system it is so i program it in my scanner? Thanks

can tell from the emissions designator then look in RR wiki or FCC site for the list that will tell ya

I tried to figure the emissions designator but not to sure. Im trying to figure out how to program my scanner with the system - motorola, LTR, EDACS etc. I believe the system has not been figured out because the frequencies are different for the one on the database. Thanks.

Be more specific - what scanner do you have, and what system(s) are you trying to hear?

I wouldn't necessarily trust the FCC db to be 100% accurate anyway - they often have outdated information, or have information sent to them from a manager that is licensing freqs that will be used, but aren't on the air just yet.
