I've recently started using the demo of TrunkStar XLT with my BCT8 and am still working through the ins-and-outs of how the program operates. I've run into a minor annoyance and am hoping that someone can shed some light on what I might be doing wrong.

While in 'Radio Control' mode I'm picking up talkgroups that I don't want to listen to. They're auto stored in the 'User ID' fields so I select the 'Skip' option - but the radio keeps tuning into these groups.

Is there something that I have to do after I toggle the option from 'scan' to 'skip'? I've attached a screenshot if that helps to explain.

Thanks!

Really dumb question - did you upload the scan list to the scanner? It sounds like that hasn't been done - as long as you are in ID Scan mode, you should only see those TGs you've set up, and nothing else.

If the screen shot is accurate, you are in the "Search" mode, which will stop on any transmission. I think you might want to select "Scan" mode, then the radio will only stop on those talk-groups you have selected.

Any idea how I get out of Search mode and get into Scan mode?

AH HA! Hitting 'Search' seems to have solved the issue! DOH! :)

Many thanks guys - I do appreciate it!
