• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

The problem is when the squelch opens I get a short annoying blip added on to my audio. Also tried on a conventional DMR freq still same issue.
I just returned another TRX-1 due to a problem with the buttons not clicking and I do not recall hearing this on the other scanner.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I get the 'blip' or soft pop on my TRX when squelch opens on p25, same on my 668, and 1080. On my 668 the buttons are soft, no click, on the 1080 the buttons click, also the 668 is grey and the 1080 is black.

TRX is clicky, but not cheap feeling.

I thought they were cheaply
Built almost Hasbro Toy cheap
I was able to horse trade both for TRX-2
