When I change my batteries in the scanner and go to turn it on, "Init SD Filesys" comes up. Any help is appreciated. Have a great day. -Dave
Be sure to have a spare card as well!I second this it may be time for a new SD Card.
Sounds like there may be a problem with the SD card, I would first try (through EZ Scan and computer) to reformat the card (Prepare For Use in Scanner) and copy the configuration and library back on it. If the problem continues replace the SD card.
TRX scanners always do that at power on and it checks the filesystem on the SD card for free space and the integrity of the files. I don't know how you managed to bypass that process. When I change my batteries in the scanner and go to turn it on, "Init SD Filesys" comes up. Any help is appreciated. Have a great day. -Dave
I think he meant that it was hanging on the init screen and he had to depower/repower multiple times to get it to pass that and boot. Dying or corrupt SD card would be my guess too.TRX scanners always do that at power on and it checks the filesystem on the SD card for free space and the integrity of the files. I have had cards that would need reformatted every 6-8 weeks but never failed, just finally got tired of messing with them and replaced. And I had one other that was rock solid for some years and countless reloads and one day when I went to turn the scanner on...boom, dead, couldn't even begin a format on it. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason but having spares is definitely a good idea.Funny, sometime after reading this thread yesterday, my TRX-1 gave me a 3-03 Code. I reformatted the SD card and had EZ-Scan put everything back on to it. No Problems since. It was a first SD card issue for me, just found it humorous it came after reading this lol.
Always have a spare too!
