TRX-2 No Main Appl Code

Well, i tried updating the firmware and it didn't go thru after reading the radio. Now I'm locked in the No MAIN Appl code on the screen. Tried the reset with power unplugged, holding the button. Can't read the radio now either! Any help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to upgrade it through "EZ" Scan or the stand alone firmware upgrader?

Was there a good reason that you needed the upgrade?

The firmware update has failed to complete.
You have to finish the it before you can use the scanner again.
It may be easier to use the stand alone updater(s) which are here:
https://whistlergroup.com/pages/trx-2-downloads
The DSP firmware updater seems to be called just "DSP".
If you use these rather than EZ-Scan you will need to see what number COM port has been assigned to your scanner by going to Device Manager in Windows.

Thanks all. Got her going. Unplugged, left for dinner and some brew came back and started over and the computer made the connection and got the fire ware installed. It wouldn't even connect after the original error.
Not sure what it was, but its done.

Glad you got it going. A lot of times there is no outstanding reason to go through the trouble and risk of upgrading the firmware. Every once in awhile, the new firmware is actually messed up. Best to let others take the hit and then upgrade only if there is a compelling reason.
