Tuning steps in FM band

Hi folks

i´m new to the Forum. I´m from Germany and got a TRX-1 from the UK

i´m quite satisfied with the TRX-1 but the biggest issue is the step size.
cannot tune into 86,405 for example,it jumps back to 86,4.
btw. : why i can input 86,4 or 77,8MHz FM. I thought it´s only to 54MHz??

When you select the UK bandplan it will open up frequencies above 54Mhz.
It is not official as the sensitivity depends on the filter and gets worse up in the 80MHz band.
It is still good at 69MHz and 72MHz but 86MHz is terrible.

Flexstep is not working in all bands, probably a firmware bug, so it is fixed at 12,5KHz at that band.

thx very much. this helps me to understand why i can input up to 88MHz...
hopefully whistler wil fix the bug with the step size.

Too bad they didnt give us the FM radio band 88-108mhz

Now i also tried out the cb band. It should be very sensitive. But is not. I have a cb radio and when i push the ptt the trx is silent. No reception. (Of course i've tuned same frequency). Why i can receiving nothing on cb band? And i also tried 77 Mhz, the trx 1 is absolutly dead. My 20€ scanner is 1000times more sensitive...
