This week I have noticed some designators for TPD that I haven't heard before--specifically
in the Riverside Division, such as:


Ocean

Paul

Mary

Robert


Anyone know about this change?

These are for the "Desk" Officers that are now working in the Field until the latest class of cadets get through with field training. Paul is usually a Detective and can be heard daily as units ask for a "Paul unit on this side".
