Kilo is the phonetic for Captain. Papa goes to the normal patrol units assigned to the east precinct.

SPC means ''Secure Processing Center''. The Lodge is like a ''hangout'' for the officers.

Will do.

I believe it's located off of Greensboro Ave. just north of 35th. I've been in it when I was a ride-along about 2-3 years ago. Nothing too special about it. It has a pool table, a TV with a big couch, and a couple of snack machines. FOP members are there most of the time.

In no particular order:

Bravo - Patrol
Papa - Patrol (East Pct)
Tango - Traffic (Motor Cycles)
Sierra - Supervisors
Kilo - Captain
Echo - ?
Alpha - Special Detail Units? I hear a lot of these units assigned to the bar areas and football games
Hotel - Housing
Mike - ?

Echo - Supervisors (East Precinct)
Mike - Traffic Supervisors (they have black motorbikes while normal traffic units have white ones)
Charlie - Special Detail/Homicide?
Air - Helicopter
Lima - Lieutenant
505 - Boating Unit
RS - Radio Shop

There's also a ''598'', but I'm unsure who that is. Mr. Lee in the post above is correct on the rest.

While we're on the subject, does anyone have any information on TPD's beats? I used to have a list of them, but I seem to have lost it. I'm sure that they've probably added one or two.

Also, I believe that charlie units are crime suppression units. TPD's website used to identify this division as the "Charlie Unit" they now have it listed as the "Crime Suppression Unit". http://www.tuscaloosa.com/index.aspx?NID=247
