Hi,

My friend is trying to receive the Super Bowl at his house in Corvallis, OR. via a rooftop antenna. The question lies in which antenna to choose from?

Obviously from my research I have determined I need a "medium" directional UHF antenna. Any suggestions or recommendations? Estimated 44mi range from the TXer at 22db strength.

Perhaps any of these options would work?

Superbowl will be transmitted by CBS

this year. So what channel, VHF or UHF, will CBS be in your neck of the woods? Some TV antennas are the mix of U and V frequencies, while some are either V only or U only.

edit:AB4BF posted what looks like a good one for the price, and it covers both V and U. An amp wouldn't hurt either.

I'm curious as to what antenna you might have purchased, if any, and if so, did you get it installed in time and how good (or bad) was the TV signal?

Let us know, one way or the other.
