If you look it has two different sets of "Atlantic City Police Codes".

Is one supposed to be Atlantic County?

Also, anyone have the AC Abbr's like I believe I heard "the girlfriend wants the boyfriend 'SOW'" or something like that. AC seems to use a bunch of initials at times.

Also, are there any unit number lists? District Numbers, etc?

I'm curious who all the #-Alpha, and #-Charlie's are.

The first set of codes are the ones for Atlantic City. There appear to be a few missing from that list and a few that are incorrect. Have no idea about the second, unless it was the ones used by the county years ago.

Thank you, that list does really help. I don't see much ACPD documentation online.

Alright, but do you have the unit numbers?

Alright, now that I know the codes, does anyone have the Unit numbers?

For example, I heard unit numbers like "16-41" but then I hear like "Nine-Alpha".

Who all is who? Does anybody know.

ACPD Patrol Car Unit Numbers:
Alpha - District Units - Patrol Shift “A” (8 AM to 4 PM) (Alpha +) District 1-6 + Unit A-Z
Bravo - District Units - Patrol Shift “B” (4 PM to 12 AM) (Bravo +) District 1-6 + Unit A-Z
Charlie - District Units - Patrol Shift “C” (12 AM to 8 AM) (Charlie +) District 1-6 + Unit A-Z

District 1 - Downbeach
District 2 - Chelsea
District 3 - Midtown
District 4 - Uptown & Gardners Basin
District 5 - Marina & North Side
District 6 - Venice Park & North Side

District Patrol cars normally id by just their district number plus unit letter (ex 5-Alpha or 1-Bravo) except around shift change where they identify with their patrol shift id as a prefix (ex Alpha-5-Alpha or Charlie-1-Bravo).

Other Commonly used IDs:
Delta - Detective Bureau
Echo - Community Police
India - ID Bureau
K - K-9 Section Officers
Mike - Motorcycle Officers or Accident Bureau
Sixteen - Sergeants (16)
Whisky - Walking Patrol Beats
Yankee - Bicycle Section Patrol Units
B-W - Boardwalk Patrol Beats

I have the complete list in my Philly Communications Guide (see my signature below) - but this will get you started.

Enjoy
