Tytera TYT 9800 microphone error message

Just bought new TYT 9800D and when I plug in the microphone an error message appears. I'm using it as a base station with the appropriate power supply (I think)... Any ideas or thoughts? Thank you.

Contact the seller. They should have an easy fix or, if it's a new radio, replace it.

You might try carefully wiping both the male and female contacts with isopropyl alcohol.

I just happened to find a second microphone. Plugged it in and no error. Bad mic I guess.

Just "ERROR". That was it. I had a second mic that I plugged in and there was no error. Bad mic I guess.
