• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Also check the Chicago area and Indy area for Federal frequencies for the USM. They usually do their main ops on those channels and use SAFET when working with local departments. It's hit or miss though with these guys. Also, they have more than one TGID on SAFET but I have yet to find it. Oh, and they can show up on local systems at any time too. They have popped up on Hancock Co, Hendricks Co and even MECA while trying to do traffic stops on felony suspects. They will call for a marked unit to assist with the stop.
