UHF FM Transceiver???

Hi, I am new to this site as well as new to this kind of stuff,I was directed to come here to ask some questions about a device i recently purchased it's A (YSHON UHF FM transceiver AT-2118/3118) is whats on the box.I was wondering if this can be used as a scanner and if anyone knows anything about this device and how to use/program it? any and all advice is greatly appreciated

You should be able to receive from 130-170 and 400 to 470 MHz on it.
However, you can interfere with radio traffic in those bands if you are just "playing around"

Not advisable for use as a scanner if you are not a licensed amateur operator.

you can use it as a scanner even if you are not a licensed operator, you cannot however use it to TX unless you are licensed to do so.

I didn't even want to throw the idea out there about TX-ing.

To be honest I really have no clue how to use this device right now I haven't really use it as I don't wanna mess anything up I was looking for a scanner and came across this device @ a bargan shop for $12.00 brand new in the box and thought it was a good deal.So if anyone has any advice on how to use this and all the do's and don't I would greatly appreciate the advice/help
