I am monitoring a simulcast P25 system and have found some custom band plan settings that seem to make the system come through much better on some of the scanners my friends own that I have programmed. The problem is all my friends have Radio Shack/GRE scanners and the custom "TTables" or band plan editor is slightly different than that of the Uniden 996 in Butel ARC5000 software vs. ARC-XT.

In the ARC5000 software, I have the following:

Lo Chan: Hi Chan: Offset: Base: Step
0 4095 0 851.000000 006.250
4096 8191 4096 762.006250 006.250

In ARC-XT, I can only enter:

Lower/Base: Upper: Step: Offset:

and, I cannot use the "4095," "4096," or "8191."

My question is how do I duplicate the exact settings in ARC5000 in ARC-XT so the scanner sees the same custom band plan? I have attached screenshots if someone is interested in looking at them to help me.

Thank you in advance for any help!!!

For a true P25 system you DO NOT need to enter a bandplan. The scanner gets the band plan from the control channel and the scanner configures accordingly.

W8RMH and kma371, thanks for your responses. The system in Butler County Kansas is a simulcast system and the scanner seems to have a hard time decoding it. Through trial and error a couple of us have found that custom band plan setting seemed to help, but it is entered in ARC5000. That is why I was wanting to convert that information to use in the ARC-XT program. I don't know if the band plan you gave W8RMH would work the same or not.
