Uniden BC350A

Hey Guys, I just purchased my first Uniden Scanner. I am needing some generall info on this model. First, Since I am new to scanning, where can I find a manual to walk through the setup of the scanner? Next, I see where some people "program" the scanners. What do people mean by "programming" scanners? Is it required for me to do this as well, and what will I need to do this?

Sorry for all the newb questions, but Im sure I'll pick up some knowledge along the way!

You can probably download a manual from unidens web site for your bc350A or just google that model and manual and I am sure you can find one to download.
As far as programming, your 350A comes with preset buttons for all the hot action, when you find a frequency that is active in your area you can program it to private button. Or if you know a specific frequency you can goto that band press hold and then the up or down button to goto your desired frequency and then program that to your private button.
