Uniden BC72XLT Scanner wont stop squelching

I was at the Daytona 500 last weekend using my scanner. Somehow while I was there the scanner stopped working properly and just started squelching. It doesn't pick up any channels anymore just continuous hissing squelch noise. I've looked through the manual tried adjusting the squelch among other things. Please help if you know what might be the problem.

I have the same problem. Any help out there?

Usually a broken solder point where the squelch switch meeds the circuit board. I touch it up a bit and that almost always fixes the problem.
