uniden BC796D firmware update or not

hello
i just picked up a uniden BC796D scanner (got it pretty cheep)
i do have a couple of questions
i am hearing a ton of police on fm and fm-p25 in the 141 to 143 mhz range
i live real close to Chatham Ont and running a outside antenna
is thee any police on the 800 mzh band around here ?
now my question is do i update the firmware or leave it alone
i can not seem to find out how to cheek on the firmware that's on the scanner now ?

As to whether you have any police on 800 Mhz - take a look at our database, and you can find the answer yourself
