Hello, I’m after some help programming my EZI33XLT+. I bought it to monitor specific ATIS and aerodrome frequencies. when I input a specific frequency and save it to memory, it changes every time. Tried a number of different frequencies.

e.g. input Barton ATIS 121.730, it changes to 121.725
Wharton tower 139.805 changes to 130.800

im new to this so not sure if it’s me or the device! Rang the shop I bought it from, but were no help.

Thanks

Hi @Duc996bp and welcome to RR.

The step for those frequencies in the scanner is 12.5 so the last part of the frequency must end in 00, 12.5, 25, 37.5, etc. the difference in the .005 typically should not be a problem, you should be able to hear it fine.

Here is a link to the manual that explains it.

Thank you, yes I am in the UK. I can hear the frequency, just wondered why I couldn’t save what I actually entered. I tried with the “step” option set to 12.5 and 8.33

I believe they are using the 8.33 kHz spaced channels in the UK (where it appears the OP is). I'm guessing that model doesn't support that.

It appears this was designed for use in Australia or New Zealand and not the UK. Changing country mode doesn't change the band coverage.

From the manual - "The Police, RailRoad, Fire and Ambulance banks have select pre-programmed frequencies - one set for Australia and another set for New Zealand. Switching the country mode alternates between the select pre-programmed frequencies of these service banks."
