uniden scanner BC340CRS Help

I need some help.
I own a Uniden BC340CRS scanner, the other day it started to squelch so I went to adjust it and by turning the knob it did nothing. Is the scanner no good anymore or is there something I can do to fix it.It is only about 4 years old.

Hmm, I have a Uniden Bearcat BC350C that did the same thing, sometimes it would go away and come back. I still don't know what caused it, I opened it up and I didn't see any damage so I figured it the squech or the board was broken So finally I got a updated version of it, the Uniden Bearcat BC355N.

340crs squelch roblem with that model. Elderly couple dropped theirs off to me and I opened it up and put an ohm meter to the squelch potentiometer and it was good. Something else deeper is shot. I still have it, but with my county that went P25 I sold them my ole bc8500 a 500 ch. radio that I didnt use anymore.

Rest of it works, am/fm radio, alarm clock. Course your situation maybe different. Send it to repair to uniden, but for the $59.50 repair the radio isnt worth that. 340 crs | eBay
With so many going digital, there are a lot of orphaned analog radios out there, my neighbor has three!
