• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Can anyone tell me anything about this radio? I haven't been able to find anything on it anywhere. I can't even find it's name mentioned anywhere online and nothing looks even close on CBTricks. Was it made by Uniden for another company? Has something been changed on it? The meter isn't working but it seems like it's in operational condition.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks W8RMH. Do you know what company? Is Stalker the brand? Is it the same as any other radios that would be easier to find documentation for?
I'm fairly new to this stuff and am trying gain as much knowledge as possible. This has been a useful site for me so I was hoping you guys would have more information than I've been able to come up with so far.

I did find the Teaberry Stalker series on CBTricks but couldn't find the 14. There's the IX (mobile) and the XII, XV, and XX, (all base stations?) but no 14. I get the same results with a Google search. I know it's a basic 40 channel AM, but I kind of like the look of it and if it's a decent radio I'd like to use it, possible in the vehicle. I've been trying to learn more about working on radios and would like to find a manual, schematic, etc.
Thanks for the help so far!

Uniden made lots of radios for other companies. They made some of Pearce Simpson's radios, most of Cobras radios before 1994-95, and even a few Midlands were built by Uniden.

Teaberry was/is another brand that featured Uniden internals. Your radio looks like a basic Uniden from about 1982 if I had to guess. Interestingly there's not a pot for the AMC, but looks like a resistor.

The meter should be the same as any Cobra 25/Uniden PC 66/68 meter, and fairly common to find.

Thanks for the help KDOPEZ! I found a meter on Ebay and it should be here soon. I'm also going to look at the manuals for the similar models and go from there.

Thanks guys! Now that I'm looking for the AX14 I'm finding all sorts of information. That was exactly what I needed. I'm hoping to get the meter in soon and give it a once over before putting it in the Jeep. Thanks again!
