Uniden Trunktracker III?

Someone gave me Uniden Trunktracker III desktop model and all I want to do is listen to my town police and fire. It's seems to be pre-programmed with surrounding town local police but I'm having trouble entering the mhz codes for my town which I have. I don't know how I put them in? Appreciate any help, thanks!

Look on the back for a number starting with BC. That's the model number. Armed with that number you can download the Users Manual.
By the way the "mhz codes" are frequencies.

zen please go up to the User CP (in the upper left corner, in the blue toolbar under the 'forums') and supply the city/state in which you live. It's much easier to direct you when there is help local to where you are. Right now no one knows what town you are trying to program....73 Mike

I'm in Mass. and i have the codes, I just don't know where to put them in and once there in, how I scan them?

Ok, if you can't seem to find this in the manual, here is how you can accomplish your goal. Push the hold button, and then push the "1". This will put you on Channel 1 of Bank 1. Then hit this sequence: 855.7625, "E" for enter. Then push the 2, and repeat the process for 471.1750. You now have your second frequency in channel 2 of Bank 1. Then just push "SCAN" and it will alternate between these 2. You can just keep added more "codes"(frequencies) by going to the next unused channel (3, 4, 5, etc). If you get to 10, just push 1 and then 0, 1 then 2(12), .....5 then 1(51), etc for the channel number.

Thanks for helping but I'm not having luck with your instructions. Do I need to first press any of the other buttons like state, pvt, svc, srch, trunk? When i first turn this on it reads LP with a pol above it and it looks to be scanning. This is where I had surrounding town police departments and mine could be in there but i don't know how to check it? Also, I don't see a SCAN button. Thanks!
