SC230: Uniden USC230 Firmware

Hello Guys, Bit of a Longshot but you wouldn't happen to have firmware for the usc230? The link is broken on the site.

I have rebuilt the handheld it was originally bought broken to pieces.
I fitted new power adapter jack. New bnc antenna port. Swapped the screen and replaced the battery compartment. But I need the firmware to get this little radio working.

OK Dave cheers for the response . I'm kinda hoping I can get this firmware in have everything else . So if uniden don't have it hopefully some nostalgic scannerman has the firmware on an old PC or drive . What ya reckon @JoeBearcat ? Here's the broken link bud :

I guess its a stab in the dark given the age of the scanner . Gotta try though.

The firmware file you listed is for the SC230 only, not the USC230. My understanding is that the USC230 never got a firmware update so all the radios are at release firmware level. Outside of Uniden there is likely no place to get initial release firmware. That said, I am attaching the SC230 V2.10 firmware file even though I don't think you can use it.

Ah i see , different chips I would never have noticed if you hadn't pointed that out . I just seen the sc230 and thought it was good to go . OK I'll keep a hold of the file and wait to see what else is said , you're most likely correct.

That is a 'U model' (non-North America), so I can't help. I do not even have any contacts for that division. I am the rep for Uniden America.

Best to try a contact from the website for that division.

And no, the NA firmware will not work in 'U' models. (or vice versa)
