Thanks, Mick. I tried to search for that the FCC database but was not having luck. I must not have entered the parameters correctly or something. Anyways, It is most likely Wilson County Sheriff's Office that I'm hearing. (I know that it was a LE agency, and that it was in or near De Kalb County, because I heard the dispatcher refer to a De Kalb County town.)

Man. I'm in Chattanooga and in the area I'm in it is hard to identify a lot of frequencies I am capturing. Being on the TN, GA, AL and NC line, the stuff can be from anywhere. When I do a search here, I have to check all four states. Even the FCC database isn't much help because I get matching entries sometimes for all three states. That can be rough!

That's why I started this thread. We have a similar thread for KY and with over 330 replies and 15,000 views not much goes unidentified. If you post something you are hearing with a few details about the traffic heard, someone might be able to help you figure out who it is.

Does anyone know what LTR system incorperates these freqs.? 462.3375 and 461.7125. im sure it is a factory and i believe its in Sumner co. because the siginal is strongest there. what i hear mostly is calls to maint. to come repair assembly lines and such. i was thinking it was the Gap factory in Gallitan but i never hear that name mentioned.

On a recent trip to Jackson, Tn, I noticed a strong signal on 165.2875 MHz. It sounded like data but at a very slow rate. The carrier seems to be always up and the data sounds very "raspy". As I moved south, the signal increased in strength and I started to DF it using signal strength alone.

It seems to be located at the WFHU FM transmitter site just north of Henderson, Tn. In addition to the commercial FM transmitter, this tower contains a ham repeater, a two-way service for the SouthWest Human Resources Agency, 1527 White Rd, Henderson which is located just to the south and across HWY 45.

The Freed-Hardeman FM transmitter (WFHU on 91.5 mHz) is located at 35.46139 degrees by -88.68098 degrees on the property of the Freed Hardeman University Summer Camp off Hwy 45.

I spoke with the manager of the WFHU site and he said he had nothing on 165.2875 on his tower.

Anyone up to locating this mysterious signal?

Ok, I'm in Chattanooga. Just picked up a MOT cc on 860.0125. Showing SysID: 00E2 with CT: 105.88. I'm in my office, so only getting a signal of 65%. Any ideas?

My BAD! due to the signal strength, the correct SysID was not showing up properly. It was actually sysID: 592E, which is the Tri-County Communications system. However, the 860.0125 cc is not shown for this system. Thanks.

Ok, I'm finally loosing it! The 860.0125 is "bleedover" from 859.7875. Sometimes you feel like a nut!

More info on 461.56875

New to scanning and still trying to identify 461.56875 heard in the Bristol, TN, Sullivan Co. area.
I have listened for a morse code tag identifier, but they never send one. Being a ham since 1962,
but inactive now, I think I could copy it if sent. The frequency seems to be used by a construction
company, ordering concrete, trucks, etc. The company does not use the frequency much & never
on Sunday. I have set it as a primary channel on my PRO-164. I have searched everywhere I
know to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Claude

If you goto the Tennessee page in the database, Tennessee Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference, down at the bottom you will see "Search Tennessee FCC Licenses". The great thing about this search, is that if the frequency that you are looking for is a bit off, it will expand the search. When I put in 461.56875 it gave me a range of 461.55875-461.57875.

It does show 461.5750 licensed to Summers-Taylor, Inc. in Elizabethton, FCC Callsign WNAP623 Details.

Thanks click23 I appreciate the help. I had tried the FCC TN License search but I guess I
did something wrong. I had not considered the possibility of "bleedover," which I'm sure this is.
And I agree, this is a great search tool. Thanks again.
