I am able to pick up DIA edacs system without any trouble and can pick up the non-trunked airlines like Frontier but have never heard anything on the United Airlines or FED X trunked frequencies. Can anyone pick these up or are they out of service? Thanks, Adkad

Make sure you have UAL in there as a MOT system for starters. I can hear it from my house in Wheatridge (at least as of a week or so ago when I last listened to it), but it's very broken. It's not intended as a real wide area system, so the power output isn't all that great I would imagine. I have never heard any control channel or voice activity on the FedEx system, even while out at the airport.

For the most part any business communications at DIA have a very limited signal outside of the airport. I am hearing the UAL Mot 3600 control channel (albeit weak up here) on 860.9125 as I post this.

Also the Budweiser brewery near Fort Collins also operates a Mot analog system on all the .8875 frequencies used by UAL. So if you are far enough North or conditions are right you may have occasional interference between both systems.

There is at least one maybe two narrowband EDACS 900 MHz systems on the air for some of the other air carriers at DIA. I have never had any luck with logging them up here.

Phil.

The FedEx system usually can't be heard unless you are within a couple miles. When I was on that system, it was difficult to key up the repeater even when at the Conoco just west of the Cargo ramp.
The other thing to keep in mind about FedEx is that most of their raio ops occur early AM and evening during the week and PMs on weekends.

Interference? So I guess one person would be talking about the next flight in, while they also hear interference that the beer trucks are there at Budweiser? I am sorry, but if I were to hear that, I'd be LMAO.
