We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. Universal Macomb EMS uses 423.1250 as their dispatch freq but the last few week they have been talking over the radio about having handheld 800meg radios. Some rigs will tell dispatch we are going to be on the 800 radio's .I have yet to hear them on MPSCS .So this comes to my question are they using them for Medcom HEAR hosp comms on MPSCS ?.

they have been using them for special events. You might have heard them when they were working the air show or sterling fest.

I heard them talking about just a few days ago (Friday)after both events .I again am having issues picking up the Macomb Co MPSCS towers so I was thinking they are using them for Mesdcom or Wayne Co Hear. They do have contracts with Wayne County area and I heard all of Wayne Co EMS to Hosp went 800 .
