• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hello, anyone know of the University of Dayton police/ems and other radio frequencies? Im not sure if they are on a trunked system or what the deal is. I saw the feed from 2004 and thought maybe someone knows a little more about it since then. If anyone could help that would be great!!

With regards to "UD Stadium", is that the same facility that has been called Welcome Stadium? Also - are the frequencies used in the UD Arena by security and other departments known? Thank you.

UD Stadium is actually UD Arena used for basketball, WGI drumlines/colorguard, graduations etc. Welcome Stadium is the football stadium that belongs to Dayton Public Schools but is also used for UD football.
From what I've been told by a Dayton police officer that works undercover security with UD police at the UD men's basketball games, they use the Dayton TRS in the Arena for all security operations. Outside, the security company contracted for the parking lot use their own radios. Just the little bit I can offer. I could be wrong...its happened before!

Thanks for any U.D. Arena information. In years past, I've been there and have picked up some activity on my scanner from security, ticket office, concessions, parking, etc. Anything you could pass along about it now would be appreciated.

To listen to the freqs on the dayton TRS, would i need a scanner like the Uniden Bearcat BCT15X? Also i recently found this info:
DEC HEX Mode Alpha Tag Description Tag
50384 c4d A UD-OPS1 UD Police Dispatch Law Dispatch
50416 c4f A UD-OPS2 UD Police TAC 1 Law Tac
50448 c51 A UD-AUX1 Parking/UD Cadets Multi-Talk
50480 c53 A UD-AUX2 Special Events Multi-Talk
....are dec and hex something you enter into a scanner? Or would it still be freqs like the ones listed in previous posts? Thanks!
