I am trying to remember the model number of the antenna I have. I bought it only a few months ago from a local RS but they were no longer being made or sold, most likely for awhile. It came in an abnormally large box with 50ft of coax. It was originally sold for 39.99. I used to have an older Radio Shack catalog, that had it in it. I do know it would have been when the Pro-94 was brand new. I will also upload a picture, can anyone help me out with the Radio Shack model number?

It doesn't look like anything in any of the Radio Shack catalogs I looked in. It's definitely a multi-band dipole, though, most likely an Antennacraft ST2 or equivalent.

It was from Radio Shack I am positive of that. Whether or not it was rebranded I do not know. I might be able to find my old catalog sometime when I make it home. I do know when I went to pick it up I wanted to read something about it or check some specs cause it cable with 50 ft of cable and was huge for 39.99 I wanted just to see what others had said. Nothing could be found on Radio Shacks website and I finally read a few comments about it and seen that some others were using them. I went back and when they rang it up it was no longer in there system at all. They marked it down to 20, I got it for a steal.

Maybe it came from a RadioShack dealer who sold products other than those that were uniquely RadioShack's?

I think I still have one of those in a box at home. I'll try to remember to take a look and post the model number. They were discontinued about 2-3 years ago. They were on close out for a while at a very good price. Before they disappeared from the inventory system I was able to buy several for $.99 each.

And just a word of advice. For use in the 800mhz bands, this antenna really sucks.
Mine gives not bad reception in the lower ranges, but the 800 mhz range, my stock indoor scanner antenna works just as well, which isnt saying too much for the Scantenna.

Have you tried adding 3" long rods to it? Even 2 pieces of #10 wire would work.

I see someone beat me to it. I have one left. No, it's not for sale. That's just in case someone was going to ask.

I have not ever had to use it for 800mhz in my area. The only thing in the 800's worth listening to is MPSCS, and I get 96 - 99% all of the time anyhow, I do use it however for my base scanner which is setup for the 150's. It is much better than the telescoping antenna that came with it, especially when I have a ton of computer equipment within close range.
