Yea, he sounds like he's seen better days and needs to quit drinking. I also heard him on 1.310 and a few others.

Is there a list of all AM stations in North America?

Check the DX links here...

MW DXing and Broadcasting - The RadioReference Wiki

Just as a FYI, MW frequencies are not written with the decimal, unless you're doing exact measurements (down past the last khz). So 1.530 is just written 1530, 1.310 is written 1310, and so on.

If you get really into MW DXing - there are 2 organizations that have been around for many many years here in NA - the International Radio Club of America and the National Radio Club. They have a superb reputation in the field. Highly recommended. Their links are also in the wiki article above

Yeah , Reloj is a messy Cuban. I think I've read somewhere that at least some of those freqs are actually spurs (perhaps deliberate, as a form of 'broadcast jamming'). How much power, I haven't a clue.

If memory serves, they're even on HF (5025 khz, I think...) Mike

Reloj screws my reception of Clark Howard on WWL which I'm groundwave.

From what I read, 570 is 150KW, the rest are only 10-50KW Not sure about 570, being so low in the band, it's wasteful to send out more then 10KW Cuba is on an island, too which helps with nighttime propagation.

Radio Rebelde is on 5025 khz. They have talk, call in shows, and play a lot of music.

I don't think Radio Reloj is on SW.

Radio Clock doesn't broadcast on SW and the frequencies 570, 790, 820, 830, 850, 860, 950 (Havana) and 1020 are not spurs. Messy I suppose if you don't like listening to WWV with news. The news and information is read against a background sound of continuous clock ticks every second. Every minute there is a station name announcement, a beep on the minute, a time announcement and "RR" in Morse code. Rebel is traditional Cuban music but I like Progress better, they play pop and rock and roll. Oh, Rebelde aka Rebel was started by Che Guevara in 1958.

I miss the days when WCKY was a rock station...

Right you are - that's a station that I usually pass by, simply because it's so darn strong. It's a good station to use for antenna testing.

Keep in mind that the Cuban government doesn't like the fact that US MW stations are very easy to hear in the Caribbean. Just as the VoA about broadcasts (intentional and otherwise) to areas with unfriendly governments. You'll get an earful...Mike

One more thing to add, it would not be 1.530 kHz. The frequency would be 1.530 MHz

1.530 kHz = 1530 Hz
1.530 MHz = 1530 kHz
