Hey all,

Just got back after a day of railfanning with my 436 and I wanted to upload the recordings I took throughout the day right onto my laptop. I see nothing on Sentinel for doing this as far as uploading recordings go. Can I simply do this with an SD card reader (still have the stock one that came with the scanner) or do I need a specific scanner software like ProScan or some sort of audio software? I'd really appreciate the help.

No need for any software.

When you plug the radio into your computer and put it into "USB Mass Storage mode, you should also see it 'mount' as a drive in Windows.
Go to the directory BCDX36HP/audio and there will be your recordings.

Bonus:
Someone has written a nice program - UniversalScannerAudioPlayer to easily listen to them.
You should easily be able to find it here (RR) and download it.

As nessnet has noted, put the scanner into Mass Storage mode. Then you can use File Explorer to go to the audio directory mentioned above.

Once you access that folder on the data card, you can copy (or move them) into a folder on your PC, so that you can return the scanner to listening.

Link to the Universal Scanner Audio Player is here:
Universal Scanner Audio Player | RadioReference.com Forums

The developer of that program usually has a link to the latest version of the software in his signature on posts.
