I "Googled" again, and found this also. = *** "I've also received information that the 171.4375 MHz frequency is used as a federal interop channel in the Philadelphia area. It is referred to as the "FIO" channel. ***

Just like women. Same - same ; two peas in a pod. Like detectives walking on the interstate, location of a bad car accident ; riped fuel line; with their holsters positioned at a 45 degree angle on the front right side of their body. Cops with silver / gold pens sticking out of their shirts so some perp can take it away and stab them with it ( Officer survival - looks can Kill
. Protect your pistol
). Special Ops / HRT / Emergency Services ( NYPD ) at a bridge entrance ; of a night, in tactical mode. Special ops t-shirts , camo pants and all. Humph...TV folks. Co-ordinating agencys most likely will have a rep for mutual-aid, and most of this stuff is agreed upon and set before an event / incident ever sets in. Encrypted phones - encrypted email - and lets us not forget... NEXTEL ( U.S Secret Service )
I would say that the coasties also have access to the " Federal Inter-agency" freqs to coordinate with FBI - Customs in the event of disaster - emergency - pursuit or Coast Guard Law Enforcement needs to communicate with Federal Agents. So go to "WIKI" and get the Federal Interagency freqs and put them in also. Encryption? Maybe....Maybe not. Would not hurt to punch them in to your scanner.
"Close Call" and "Signal Stalker" would be of use in your area. With the diversity of state and federal agencys, it would be a shame not to have it.
It's all history. Nothing has changed. Even the Government sometimes is predictable.
Do not forget to search 407 - 408 MHZ ; 417-420 ; and 163-165 >>>> all of whom I have found active in the past..regardless of if you can hear it or not. Sometimes you can pick up a non-encrypted transmission.
Hope this helped............ FF - Medic !!!!!
