Hi,
Need some help here. I want to control my IC R9000 with HRD or Radiomax (so far) and I got a level converting USB to serial cable from eBay. I was just testing it out and don't get any tracking of the frequency with the scope and computer. The software says it is listening but the frequency does not change even if I program into the software a span of say 2 to 3 MHz. Radiomax will happily scan this range but I don't see anything on the R9000 display. Why don't I see the readout on the 9000 go along with the computer frequency and respond?
Can anyone give me some insight? Are these cables for USB bogus?
Thanks for your attention!

Not familiar with Radiomax, is there a delay setting??? Do not think the computer is talking to the radio, I would go back and review the initial setup.

Best of luck, I would be interested in hearing how this works for you.

Thanks Eddie,
My bad! It is working now with HRD. I think the mouse slipped when I put in the config data. So I'm on it now!
Thanks again,
Rachel
