The USCG is searching just outside the harbor this morning. There was a major accident last night East River at Brooklyn Bridge. I have discovered a freq that has not reported here apparently.

Quite a signal on Nationwide Yankee 3 - 143.475 PL 114.8 this appears to be a relay of Marine VHF 14 156.7 Marine Traffic Service for the Harbor.

Zero signal on 156.7 for me but with the relay both sides clear, audio quality fair.

Thunderbird 3 is up flying around with ZNY 335.600 then dropping down with Philly apch 317.550>291.700 down to 5k. Says wants to enter airshow right above McGuire. Earlier he told ZNY see you at Jones Beach which is next weeks airshow. Blue skies for sure now! Seems Thunderbird 3 as a single...

Just back in shack for lunch, yes it is active. I imagine the cruise ship push later today might be coordinated. Hearing activity from all the tributaries around the city like barges and tugs on the Arthur Kill, East River and so on.

Was any activity noted in connection with the Mexican Navy ship that hit the Brooklyn Bridge?

started picking that channel up a few weeks ago way before that sailing ship incident. from Nassau County very strong signal, a patch of vhf-14 NYC harbor operations
