Lucky find! I've been all over the pawn shops hoping to find a similar deal on a PRO-106 but no dice. All the scanners they seem to have are ancient - not even trunking models.

Year ago, I got a 16 channel Uniden base scanner at a thrift store for $5 once. That was pretty epic.

Awesome! I picked up my 396xt for $75 last June at a pawn shop. Bought one for $350 used on Amazon a few weeks before and luckily still had a few days left to return when I found this one.

I don't think the pawn shop had a clue about value since the model number isn't noted on the outer case. They're not known for giving their stuff away... but sometimes you get lucky!
