2010 Polaris Ranger 800. About 2500 miles on it mostly in California mountains and Nevada desert.
Motorola CDM-750 VHF with a 1/2 wave whip.

2011 or so, Northern California:


Last Spring, just north of Mount Shasta California, near the town of Weed. All the family rides....

Very nice! I plan on going trail riding at a local trail ride place down the road from me hopefully the rain doesn't come around until later on.

The LED light bars are nice. In the second photo, the guy with the ATV recently purchased a Polaris Rzr S and it's got a full width LED bar on the top.
Impressive doesn't quite describe it. Creating daylight over several hundred square yards in the middle of the night is more than "impressive".

I've got two single LED 10 watt spot beams on my ranger, and LED flood on the rear and HID headlights. All that works pretty well, but in no way compares to his LED bar.

Nice looking machine you have. The UTV's have come a long way since I bought mine in 2010.

That is cool! I am going to hold off the LED light bar for now since I don't plan on doing any night riding. I plan on next week coming up to buy the Warn Pro advantage 3500-s synthetic blend winch

Synthetic winch line is a great option, takes a lot of the hassle out of use. I've used the Viper winch a few times to pull bushes out at home and a few times on the trail. So far no issues.

I looked closely at the Warn stuff, but just couldn't justify the additional cost. I do like the brand. I had a 12,000 pound unit on one of my old trucks, however it had a brake issue from the factory. Fixed under warrantee, no questions asked. No issues with it after that.

Just bought my son a Polaris Ace 150 for his 12th birthday. He already asked about adding a winch, but they don't make a mount for these yet. Might be time to fabricate my own. Still have to figure out how to mount the radio in it for him.

I heard great things about Viper winches but unfortunately my UTV dealer don't sale Viper all they sale is Warn products. That is cool about your son is wanting to add a winch to his Polaris Ace 150. How does he like the Polaris Ace 150? My dealer here they sale Poloaris and Yamaha Vikings which is the top seller here in my state.

He spent a couple of hours on Tuesday driving it around and had a blast. I've still got it limited at 10mph. I'm taking him out camping for 4 days next week and will probably end up bumping it up to 15mph. It tops out at 29mph, but he's not ready for that.

Made the mistake of leaving the key in it while it was sitting in my garage. My wife fell asleep and he took it upon himself to take it out of the garage and putting it on the front lawn to wash it.
Had to have a little talk about it with him last night. Keys now safely locked up.

Hope everything is okay now. The key stays with me so my nephew doesn't have any attentions when he finds the key. He enjoys the trails ride I take him out on which is cool he thinks.

We'll usually go out camping for 5 or 6 days in the national forest lands, exploring logging roads, etc. Everyone has their ham ticket, so we've got VHF mobiles in all of them. Really improved our riding experience by bing able to talk on the trails. It's easy to get separated, so it's pretty handy to have.

That is cool. I had to take the Viking VI to the shop today to let them replace the door latches on all four doors and purchased the Warn ProAdvantage 3500-S winch. Can't wait for the trail riding end of the month.

Here's mine since it's been updated as of few days ago. I added the 14" MSA Kore wheels on a 30" BKT 171 mud tires, KMS Performance slugs for better performance and also adding Pro Armor seat belt harnesses.

I put Bighorns' on my Ranger a few years ago, made a big difference in how it performed, plus they seem to have a better compound than the stock tires. They've worn really well.
My dad and I did a trip 2 weeks ago in the national forest near Yosemite. Still some snow in the shadows, and the tires did well.
I've got another long trip planned in early June, heading out for 5 or 6 days.

I agree the dual tandem axle towers with automatic brakes is a plus when pulling a side by side or bunch of ATV's. I love my Big Tex 50LA trailer it works really well for what I need it for.

I haven't had the chance to take my side by side to the local trail ride location due to they only being open only during last weekend of the month. Hopefully this rain will go away this Sunday when my family likes to go riding. I know the mud will be a factor at the local trail ride place.

I've been getting lot of complements on the side by side with the new 30" BKT 171 tires and the MSA Kore wheels.

I've been wanting to take my side by side to Durhamtown in Union Point, Georgia about a two hour trip north of me but the closest Hotel is 30 miles away.

Yeah. The prices of Gas and Diesel has been going up in my town since all the issues been going on.

I had a Big Tex 35, single axel I used for a while.
At one point I was towing my Ranger on it, with a 2005 GMC Canyon, I-5 engine with a stick shift. Did OK. Tires were a bit over-inflated once, going up a grade on heavily grooved pavement, passing a slow truck. Started fishtailing on me. Was able to recover but got off the highway at the next exit and let air out of the tires. Made me realized I needed to get back into a full size truck and go with a dual axel trailer with brakes. Running an F-350 now with the Diesel motor. 20 foot flatbed with two Rangers on it, one mine, one my dad's, and my son's Ace 150 in the bed. Much easier towing, less white knuckling.
