Install one of the recent « custom » firmware by Egzumer on GitHub, AM aircraft is very much improved.

I used whosmatt.github.io for some mods, then I see that egzumer has the AM fix. So I used egzumer and it fixed my AM aircraft sound.
it did change my pervious settings I made with whosmatt. I wish there was a way to combine the two firmware's they both offer great MODS.
This radio so far has been really good to monitor Air band after the mod.

Thanks for this information. I just flashed my K6 using the latest version on egzumer, V0.20.1. Positive notes: AM aircraft reception is noticeably improved; my stored channels are still intact. Not sure if I like the new menu system over the previous standard version. I like that the startup screen shows the mod version at the bottom and my welcome message is still intact. Apparently the UVMOD version updates allowed you to pick and choose the mods you want, but egzumer doesn't allow customization. Overall, I'm very pleased with the improvement in Airband AM reception.
FYI, version 0.21 was released yesterday and fixes some minor issues with the battery indicator and backlight. New features include frequency range scanning in spectrum, setup frequency range, turn on spectrum analyzer, additional frequency steps: 9kHz, 20kHz, 200kHz. Still exploring the differences with the old version.
Did anyone here notice that original stock firmware voice prompts like power on "welcome, frequency mode, channel mode, scanning begins, numbers" press with voice, etc. no longer work on the egzumer mods? Additionally, there is no menu item for "voice" e.g. English or CH. Not a big deal but just needed some feedback. Thanks.I find it to be the best firmware so far

No, I viewed the ‘readme’ file and the developer acknowledged the missing voice along with other omissions. Not enough memory to keep certain stock features along with the mods. You can customize the file and add back missing features but I decided against it. At least I understand the reasoning behind it. Thanks for the reply!
