Are Vancouver Police encrypted? What type of system do they use?
KMPara said:Short answer, they can't be listened too. They are on ProVoice along with most emergency services in the Lower Mainland. Check out www.scanbc.com for more info.
Quote from scanbc.com :
There are 9 detachments in the Lower Mainland district that operate out of the G.V.R.D., these include:
Agassiz
Boston Bar
Bowen Island
Chilliwack
Hope
Pemberton
Squamish
Sunshine Coast
Whistler

This map shows exactly which police departments that are provoice and that you can NOT hear.
