Posting this where it needs to be since the time to edit has long expired.

In one of those "it never hurts to have it in the scanner, moments" heard just a blip of traffic on VCPOOL1 (52363). RIDs in the 137000 range (Pamlico Co per the WIKI). Something mentioned about being on I-40, but I missed the exit / mile marker.
Heard off the Riverdale VIPER Tower located between High Point and Greensboro.

The statewide Viper events channels (VCPOOL, VCROAM, ALPHA-HOTEL) always make for interesting listening. You'll hear anything from rescues, funeral motorcades, State Fair/County Fair traffic, protests, and law enforcement activity, and more. Worth keeping in the scanner.

There are actually 12 V*Roam and V*Pool (2 each in central (C), eastern (E) and western (W) parts of the state though they aren't limited by location) channels in the RR database for VIPER. They are used for inter-agency ops around the state and can carry any mix of traffic as mentioned above. From my experience they are not used as often as the Statewide Event Channels Alpha - Hotel.
