Hi ! I Have A Question On Vertex Standard Walkie Talkies. At The High School They Use Vertex Standard Vx-160's And Vx-180's. I Was Wondering If You Can Order Them With The MURS Frequencies Preprogramed Because We Use 154.570 And On The Internet It Lists It As A VHF Portable And Not A Business Radio.
Thanks In Advance To All That Replies

Yep, it'll do it's full 5 watts on 154.57. I think the split is 136-174 on their VHF stuff.

Right here...
No is the correct answer to your question, they do not come preprogrammed from Vertex. It should not be to hard to find a dealer that would program any frequency in them for you. BTW let me mention these are some great radio's they are durable and have great audio often overlooked for their price.

Oh, I thought he was asking if the dealer would program it before shipment, which they do.

Vertex software is usually free or dirt cheap, no crappy license agreements like Moto, and cables are PLENTY on eBay.

VERY easy to program it.
