The 800MHz frequencies are used very often in Dade county. Broward occasionally uses them for pursuits out of county or P25 coverage area. You will also hear calling between dispatch centers in 8CAL90

I remember a post about this a while back.

If you're talking about 155.37, Most counties in central Florida still use it from time to time, but it has been used less and less in the last few years. Volusia has a Patch on the EDACS to 155.37, and I can sometimes hear a lot of different counties on it, especially when they are calling FHP. On a very clear night and when the bands are open, I can hear traffic on 155.37 from the Dade County area.

A lot of the 800 MHz interlop frequencies are used here in central Florida, too.

What about 7TACs and7CALLs? are they being used in FL?
I have a PSR-600 that does nothing all day but scan the above frequencies -

I have never, not once, in 30+ years of monitoring in Florida, heard anyone use the 7TAC freqs - same goes for the 460.275 freq - never once heard it in use. That does not mean that they are not used somewhere in the state, but I've never personally heard them -

But, as I said, they're in the scan list. You never know!

I’d love to add all of these to my SDS but it scans so slow that it’s just not worth adding all of these channels and slowing the scan rate just for the hope of maybe hearing a peep or two.

you say that like you can only listen to one radio at a time...! :)
i keep 4 older analog radios just for this reason.
mutual aid, ham, frs/gmrs/murs, air, mil air. ccr defaults, and other freqs to free up the SDS100.
