I just don't know, I have to plead complete ignorance on this one..It would be interesting to find out how widespread the incidence of statewide reception is. Is this common? It would appear so. Is it limited to specific areas, specific sites?

I will add one last thing, and then I will let this issue die on it's own. When I received T.G. 52152, Troop B, New Hanover and Brunswick Counties, I wrote down the dispatchers radio i.d. - 2499917. I wrote down the transmitting units radio i.d. - 2150273. Thanks to our wiki I looked up the radio i.d.'s for both. The dispatcher fits, the radio i.d. for the unit is extremely close to a Buncombe County S.O. i.d. I can only think that maybe, as is suggested, the Troop B unit was here, and assigned a temporary affiliation, or even the reverse. Again, thank you wiki...

Looking for some help with VIPER Radio IDs for federal agencies...

Recently I've come across some new radio IDs for federal agencies on Viper and wondering if anyone might know who I'm hearing and if the feds possible got new radios that changed their RID patterns.

RID 2900xxx sounds like it is possibly DEA (which is traditionally 2907xxx), been hearing them in Elizabeth City with 2900155 and in Forsyth County with 2900048, 2900066 and 2900090. All activity heard for these RIDs was on Viper Event Channels.

The other was monitored on new TGs not in database (60808 and 60809) with RIDs in the 29152xx range. I was unable to identify locations/type of activity due to limited traffic.

While I know there is only limited information on Viper/Fed RIDs in the Wiki/Forums I was hoping someone might have a little more information to share. Typically, I've heard 2902xxx for FBI, 2907xxx DEA, 2908xxx DHS/ICE, 29100xx USFS, and 2912xxx USMS, which leaves a number of agencies unidentified and a number of gaps in the sequence (IE 2903xxx to 2906xxx and 2909xxx).

Not much to add, I can confirm that 60595 - as of last night was still using 2907xxx, and still fully encrypted.

Two new T.G. i.d.'s since yesterday. The first I believe will be relatively easy to confirm thanks to the radio i.d.'s. The T.G. is 52246 - the i.d.'s are 2126486, and 2126136. The transmissions were encrypted. The radio i.d.'s match what would be listed for VIPER radio techs.
Second one, well.. the T.G. is 52243 - the i.d.'s are 2151398, and 2151705. These were two units somewhere in W.N.C. doing what Detectives do, nuff said there. I cant find a good match for the T.G. based on what these two were doing, nor for the radio i.d.'s
