Ever since VBFD rebanded, I am unable to receive them on my Pro 96. I am using Win96 to program my scanner and have both the Trunking and ORION Frequencies loaded with the 800 MHz Rebanbed button marked under the Extended Trunking Tables. Even when I open up the channel to scan everything I'm still not receiving any Public Safety transmissions. I have the tables set up the same as Chesapeake which I receive perfectly. Any ideas?

The onley frequencies you need for VA Beach are 859.4625, 859.7125, 860.4625, 860.7125 do put any others in. Set extended tables to 9600 CC normal. Put VA Beach talk groups 1245 - 1256 in.. VA Beach is not rebanded.

Chiming in here a little late, just go back in town.
263, you are not alone. I have continually had problems receiving since the switch. Today (Thursday 8am) I am receiving nothing. The "T" is not even flickering. I have a Scantenna on the roof just as an FYI.
Getting frustrating to say the least.

Where in Chesapeake are you located? You may be able to the VB P25 system if you're located in the Greenbrier area but likely not if you're in Deep Creek or Western Branch.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8320/4.5.0.81 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

When I have my handheld scanner with me in the Greenbrier area, the VB P25 isn't very receiveable at all. As far as scanners are concerned, the pure P25 systems doesn't seem to have the outside-of-intended-area coverage that analog systems have. Chesapeake's system is not a pure P25 (it's Moto Astro), I believe that's why you can receive that city's system all over southside and into the lower peninsula. That's been my experience.

I was driving on Battlefield Blvd yesterday in the vicinity of Chesapeake Hospital and hearing the VB 3rd and 4th precincts and "SID2" on the ORION system with a fairly strong signal. I was using my BCD396T inside the car.

These are the freqs that were downloaded directly from RR using ARC396 software:

0773.0312 0773.5312 0773.8062 0774.0812 0774.3312 0859.4625 0859.7125

0860.4625 0860.7125 0856.4625 0856.7125 0857.4625 0857.7125 0858.4625

0858.7125 0773.3062 0773.5812 0774.0312 0774.3062 0774.5312

Not sure I understand, but how would you receive 700 frequencies when VB Orion is 800. Were you also scanning the complete Orion system?
Reception today is better, not like it was, but better.

I had downloaded the complete Orion System from RR. The softeare downloaded and set up all the 700 and 800 MHz freqs on the 396T with Orion as the main "System" with VB Sheriff, VB Police, Orion, VB Fire/EMS and VB Emergency Management as "Groups." I hope that makes sense.

I listened to the Orion Group when I worked for TSA as we used to use one of the Ops channels during multi-agency events.

Thanks, that is what I thought, but just checking.
Today I have NO reception, 2.5-full bars, but no "T" at all.

Back to streaming site.

I am beginning to think this poor reception is not us or out scanners. Currently there is a working fire and the airwaves are busy. My scanner, as usual, shows full bars but no "T:" so I am hearing zero transmissions. Listening to the feed, the reception is better but extreamly poor. Now not knowing where this feed originates in the city he may be on the fringe of the signal as I. But it seems strange that we are receiving a poorer signal than ever, and I am guessing the feed provider has not done anything with his settings like myself. On the same antenna I am listening to STARS and the VDOT low band and they are clear a ever.
Just my 2 cents
