They have been trying to migrate to a new system for about a year and just recently have changed over to whatever it is...they are keeping the info very secret, nobody seems to know any tech details, not even the several deputies I know personally! They have been told to never let anyone take a close look at their radios. Many of them say the new system sucks...their vehicles have NO installed radios at all, their only radio link is through the belt-mounted portables with the lapel mics which don't work very well when seated inside a steel car. All I can find out is it's some kind of Motorola system...I -suspect- it's a flavor of SmartZone but not at all sure. The info here in the RR database is wrong, they are not using the old VHF 154.1 at all any more...also the Whitehorn FD is still shown as using 154.37 which they quit using a year ago, it is now on 155.49. I sent in a correction on this several months ago but someone apparently changed it back afterward...did not bother to tell me why.

If anyone happens to know any freqs or other details on this I would be grateful, thanks.

Just because someone stops using an old listed freq. deson't mean it is dead. If they are still maintaining the license then the freq. still belongs to them and could be put into use for any reason. Tulsa County Sheriff's has been on the 800 system for 10+ years but their old 155.070 freq is still active daily by officers in the field.
