@WakeDispatch on Twitter ending Fire/EMS dispatch feed

For those in Wake County who followed fire and EMS dispatches through the @WakeDispatch Twitter account, I'm sorry to say it is ending on May 3rd. It was a great way to see what dispatches were happening and where the dispatch was through the attached map. It will be missed.

This is due to a software change within wake counties emergency communications center. I tried working with the owner of the account and the ECC but nothing works so far with the software changes. They switched to a new Computer aided dispatch system which allowed for way more in terms of advanced dispatching and the use of geofencing within MDTs for police fire and ems. Pretty neat stuff. I’ll keep working with Wake ECC since I know it helps a lot of people out.
