Is anyone aware of something occurring on the Wallingford Police Channel 1 (866.48750 APCO-25 ) during the past few days? My BCD396T locks in on that frequency and it sounds like an open carrier.
I have tested the scanner in multiple locations around and out of town and still have the same problem. I can hear the dispatch and cruisers when they transmit, though.

Any suggestions on how to bypass this occurrence to allow me to scan the other freqs I have?

Thanks.

I was getting that too. I ended up locking out the channel a day or so ago and haven't gone back to see if it's still happening.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Yes, I am experiencing the same problem. Unfortunately it is still there. It actually gets worse toward Durham. I am not sure if that is just a function of the high tension lines over 68 or if the signal originates from there. I do know that the PD is not experiencing the same issue though...whatever that means for us. I am going to try getting some more information today.

I guess the PD had some radio work done possibly resulting in the symptom that we hear. Not sure what the problem is exactly but it appears that they are aware of it and hopefully it will be rectified soon.
