Well scanner friends today was the DAY! Waltham Pd has either gone digital or changed frequency as of today, I realize there has been other threads regarding this So today is the day. If anyone has positive information let us know. I live in Waltham so guess I have to buy a new scanner to continue listening

or took the Repeater down during Narrowband migration and switched channels for the day?

This has occured with many of the other dept's in the past few weeks.
Have you tried BAPERN 4 or the Regional Tactical channel?

That might be, but I leaning toward digital changeover since that I believe was in the planning stage, didnt try the other channels

Ok thanks dont have a digital scanner, and I did hear them say on 470.5125 we are using ch2 for the evening to 448 car. Will check back with them in the am tomorrow

There was an email on this on Scan-Mass-East early this morning. Waltham PD was operating on digital this morning. Whether they are narrow banding their other channel or if this is permanent is speculation. As of now they are still operating on Channel 2, with nice clear digital audio on my Pro 197.

This morning I heard Waltham police using 453.8375 in P-25 Clear mode NAC 837. The analog freq 470.5125 pl 131.8 is not in use at this time.

I noticed the DB isn't updated yet to the new freq and p25/NAC, how do we go about submitting that?

P25 Traffic on 470.5125. NONE on 453.8375

I have had the 453.8375 NAC 837 in my radios for 2 weeks and have never heard one transmission.

Tonight I decided to try their original 470.5125 in P25 mode with a NAC of 512 just to see what I would hear. I have heard extensive Waltham PD P25 traffic for the last hour+ since I completed the reprogramming.

Not ready to submit to the database until I am confident the info is accurate. Hoping others can help to confirm this.

It was changed based on a previous submission , most likely.
