I was curious if anyone has a source for a complete (definitve) list
of statewide Washington DNR repeaters by area.

I can't say that I've seen a new list since the department
went narrowband a couple of years ago.

The several lists I've found on the web are of the old wideband system,
including the WA DNR page here at RR..

I put some of the new stuff on InterceptNW last year or so, don't think it made it to the database but the archives should still have the message. Getting the tones is key, because the narrowband channels are too close together for the filters in typical scanners.

Here's my area freqs:

159.345 DNR 3-B (Mt.Clemans Repeater; dispatch in Wenatchee)

159.340 DNR STATE G (Repeater also in the cascade mountains)

159.375 DNR 1-A

All of these are very active in my area, with the DNR 3-B freq as the main frequency here in Yakima County.

Thanks FlashP, I'll take a peek in the archives there.

Actually, I have an official DNR map, with regions, areas, sites, tones, etc.
from a few years ago, but, of course, it's their old system.

I was hoping someone might have ran across a new copy somewhere.

I'm keeping my eyes open. You can usually find such docs buried deep in a fire plan
or ops plan. It's just a matter of downloading and perusing a whole lot of documentation.
(That's how I just got Oregon ODF's 2007 statewide narrowband map)

WA DNR will pop-up somewhere one of these days...

You are correct as the best places to look for those maps/freqs are in the fire plans. I noticed the 2007 mob plan from CWIC does not have their radio map in it any more, but yet the plan for the entire state of Utah is. I have found searching for freqs by searching for the freq under google and a key word such as "WA" can be very beneficial.

I've put in an inquiry with a friend of mine to see if I can get the new freq lists for DNR/USFS in Washington state.

if someone wants to look, maybe something can be found here: http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/oka/fire/cwicc/index.shtml

This is the website for the Central washington Interagency Communications Center. I have looked a bit, but didn't see any freq lists. They do the dispatching for all USFS/DNR units in Southeastern washington State.

As I said earlier; the freqs I listed are very active, and I hear the fire managers and engines for this area using 159.345 every day as their main dispatch channel. it is very busy this time of year.

if they are using narrowband in Eastern washington, then it must be simulcast on the old freqs.

State-G?

I show DNR State as 159.42 everywhere, with different tones (G=110.9, Clemans etc.).

I suspect it will go to narrow band eventually, maybe a new frequency, but 159.34 is an oddball value, only 5 kHz spacing from 159.345...

I've had good luck monitoring the air channels, especially Flight Following (168.65) and AirOps (166.6875, 169.20, 166.675). Arriving aircraft often get briefed by dispatch on the radio frequencies to switch to.

Anybody have an good list of link channels and tones (~415.xxx) for USFS east of the crest?

RE: W. State DNR

I myself would love to see a comprehensive list. That would be awesome! I need to boost my DNR bank. It has minimal and I'm not sure if its even very up to date. So if anyone has the info for what is the best to listen to from the Woodinville area please chime in... :)

Very old thread, I know - but it appears it hasn't been added to.
The info in the RR data is partially incorrect and incomplete.

With 1100+ thread views, there's obviously a bit of interest in the subject.

Now mid 2010, so...

I was curious if anyone has a source for a complete (definitve) list
of statewide Washington DNR repeaters/tacs/etc by area.

Thanks.

Used in Yakima County:

DNR Clemans 159.345 (114.8) Narrowband
DNR Sedge 159.255 (107.2) Narrowband
DNR St. Naches 159.420 (D503N) Narrowband (replaced St. G)

And of course: (PL on TX only)

DNR Common 151.415 (103.5)
TAC 1 151.310 (103.5)
TAC 2 151.340 (103.5)
TAC 3 171.575 (103.5)
DNR AIR 159.270 (CSQ)

According to my records, DNR narrowbanded in 2008.

DNR hasn't used "Areas" in about 10+ years, they moved to the geographic name of the channel (Clemans, Eatonville, Greyback) when they did narrowband they were able to keep most of their freqs the same just narrowbanded them. Although SE region may have changed Freq's a little but it was also around the mid 2000's

159.42 was not used as much by DNR back then, mostly WSDFW used it but they also changed from state G, F, A to ST clemans, Hanford, Maryhill

151.415 always was, always is DNR Common. may now have a tone of 103.5

Probably hasn't been used in 10 years because the post you replied to was 9 years old :)
