Does anyone know for sure if the Waterloo Region Fire Departments are going encrypted or not?

There's nothing to suggest it at the moment from what I've read. I think if they were going to, they would have during the switchover. Who knows what the future holds, but nothing seems to be pointing in that direction this very second.
