Wayne and Garden City will join Westland-Inkster consolidated dispatch

Apparently "it" happened.
I heard some commotion on the WWFA TGs the night of the change and it seems that Garden City and Wayne PD is now dispatched on WLPD TG. Inkster PD still seems to be on their own channel.
I'll double the proper TGs before I'll do database submissions.

It will be interesting to see how the dispacthers handle the new system, since Westland, Inkster and now Garden City I.D. there units the same such as Engine 1, Rescue 1 etc. I know they are on different TG'S
but the dispatchers will have to be alert when they have more than one dept. running at the same time.
I heard one dispatcher last night that sounded like she wasn't sure who she had dispatched or wanted to contact.

Exactly. I see 14xx, 10xx numbering scheme coming back in no time.

Heard Garden City F.D. on Inkster F.D. TG 33616, Wayne P.D. on Inkster PD TG 32016 and Westland P.D. on the old G.C. P.D. TG 16016....Garden City now shares 48016 with Wayne PD.
Next few days should be interesting to follow and hopefully figure out who's on first.
Also it sounds like maybe Dearborn Heights PD telephones were out because Westland PD were relaying calls on the Inter-city frequency.

For the fire side: Looks like everyone's still on their own talkgroups for now. Same dispatcher will identify as base 6 (Inkster), 10 (GC), or 14 (Wayne/Westland) based on which channel they are on. Unit identification is as follows with each apparatus identifying based on their station:
Stations 1-4: WWFA Westland Stations
Station 5: WWFA Wayne Station
Station 6: Inkster
Station 10: Garden City
So basically Inkster Rescue 6 was Inkster Rescue 1/603.

Not confirmed but I think that Westland PD and GC PD share original Westland channels, units keep their original identifiers (1A,2C...,11,16...,etc for Westland; 6xx for GC). GC units sometimes follow their identifier with "Garden City". It appears that Wayne PD and Inkster now share Inkster PD channel.
